Just a fun quick blog to say Happy GOTCHA! Day to my cats Beethoven and Charlotte. We adopted them on August 1, 2010 from our wonderful cat sitter and surgery vet tech Ginger who rescued them. They were born in April so they are now a little over two years old. Charlotte is the princess of my three cats – she’s very elegant and classy. Beethoven is the mischievous troublemaker of the group. The brother and sister keep big adopted brother Oreo (my first cat) on his toes as he tries to keep them out of trouble! Below is a picture of how Oreo and his “minions” followed him everywhere, even to bed. (Note how Beethoven is of course the only cat who has trouble sleeping!)
(Keep reading after the jump for more insanely cute cat pictures!)
Here is a photo of them when from their first year in our house (Beet has the black mask and ears and three black dots on his nose and Char is the elegant mostly white cat):
They stuck to each other like glue!
In the two years we’ve had Beet and Char, they’ve both grown a lot. Charlotte is just under 10 pounds, still the smallest of the group, and Beethoven is a little chunkier at 12 pounds. Both Beet and Oreo have been on a diet recently, LOL! Beethoven also suffered FUO (Fever of Unknown Origin) last year but survived. It was a scary week in the animal vet emergency room last year but thankfully Beet was a real trooper.
Here are Beethoven and Charlotte (aka Beet ‘n Char) today on their 2nd Gotcha! Day anniversary! In honor of their GOTCHA! Day anniversary, please remember to spade or neuter your pets. For more info, please go here: http://www.humanesociety.org/
Well, I’m off to celebrate in style with Beet, Char and Oreo today! To keep up with my cats, please follow Oreo’s Twitter feed here: http://twitter.com/oreothecatyoo
As for my schedule this August, I’ll be popping in and out of the SCBWI national conference this week and then hiding in my writing bat cave for the rest of August. Until the next blog, as always, please remember… HAPPY WRITING! WRITE LIKE YOU MEAN IT!
