Busy in the Writing Batcave! (June 12, 2008 UPDATE)

UPDATE (June 12, 2008): Sorry for the recent blog silence...  I'm in lockdown mode in the writing batcave for a deadline right now. I'll post new blogs and photo galleries about BEA and the upcoming June 28th ALA book signing soon - stay tune! Smile

I'm ready for my close-up! Below is info on the latest news/media links to GOOD ENOUGH, including radio and TV interviews!

GIRLFRIENDOLOGY INTERVIEW!

The very popular GIRLFRIENDOLOGY website was created in 2006 by Debba Haupert to celebrate the positive effects of strong female friendships and how these friendships help empower young women. It's a wonderful website and I was honored to be featured as a guest video interview with Debba during my book tour.

To find out more about Girlfriendology, visit the website links here:

Thanks Debba for a great interview and for supporting such positive girl-power themes and encouraging young women to celebrate FRIENDSHIP!!!!

I also did a radio interview with "Cover to Cover"'s Mark DeWitt when I was on tour in Cinncinati, Ohio. It is now airing on The Flypod. You can check it out here:

Thanks Mark for a fun interview and a great conversation about music and writing!

And my TV interview with Nancy James of NORTHERN KENTUCKY Magazine already aired, but you can see more about this awesome newsmagazine show at this link:

Finally, as Asian Pacific Heritage Month draws to a close at the end of May, FUSION STORIES has received a lot of press and support from the media, booksellers, and librarians/school teachers across the country. Here's a link to a recent article in Asian Week Magazine:

ASIAN WEEK STORY ON "FUSION STORIES"

Well, I know it's been a long time since my last blog (13 days of radio silence! my sincere apologies!) but I've been busy in my writing batcave with a TV script job deadline, plus I caught a severe bout of bronchitis... no big surprise there considering how crazy my schedule has been this month! Hence the delay in special guest blogs and promised picture galleries. I may not be blogging as regularly for the next two weeks, given my script deadline (because yes, I do have to WRITE for a living! Money mouth) but rest assured, the blogs will continue... please be patient if you stop by my website and you're still seeing this same blog as the latest entry. I promise to update y'all again real soon. Plus, I need to talk about some important things, like, uh, the results of American Idol and... Wink

Back to the writing batcave! Cool

BEA

Hi Paula! I'm glad to hear you'll be stepping out of your Batcave to get to the expo this weekend. I will try to stop by your signing on Saturday to say hello - and to give you a very special gift I found when i was visiting my family last week: an original Duran Duran pin from (gulp!) the 80s!! I used to collect all sorts of pins and couldn't believe I still had this one. No pics on it, sadly, but hey, it's an oldie but a goodie. you can wear it on your DD torn sweatshirt, if you have one. :)

Cheers!
Leigh
