Welcome to FOODIE FRIDAY! Given the recent heatwave in Los Angeles, I thought it would be appropriate to have a HOT blog about the hottest hot wing sauce EVER.

For this week’s MUSIC MONDAY, I blogged about my King Crimson tribute band The Great Deceivers’ last gig in San Pedro. (The link is here: https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=801) After our gig, we stopped by the 710 Grille which was walking distance from Alva’s Showroom. I was curious about it because they had a big sign on their window saying that they were featured on Food Network. (710 Grille is located on 710 S. Weymouth Ave., San Pedro, CA. For more info go here: http://www.710grille.com/)

Turns out they were featured on the show, “OUTRAGEOUS FOOD,” in April 2011 for their famous hot wings. (The link is here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/outrageous-food/the-ring-of-fire-hot-wings/index.html) So of course we had to check it out!

(Keep reading after the jump to find out if we tried their hot sauce or not…)

The 710 Grille has won My Fox LA’s Hot List’s “BEST HOT WINGS IN LOS ANGELES” from 2007 to 2010.

Their hot wing sauce has a chart that ranks the sauce from mildest to hottest:

Safe

Sissy

Spicy

Scorching!

Extra Scorching!

Ring of Fire – “Must be over 18 years old and sign a release waiver!”

LOL! 🙂 We were a little too scared of the Ring of Fire because it required a release waiver and you had to show proof of age ID. Yikes.

Instead, I chose “Scorching” hot wings while our lead guitarist, Mike, chose  the”Extra Scorching.” We sampled each other’s hot wings. I totally could handle both Scorching AND Extra Scorching because I LOVE spicy food. But I also started sweating as I ate the Extra Scorching, so that scared me and I wimped out and stuck with the Scorching. LOL! 🙂

Here’s what our food looked like:

Hot Wings!

I also ordered the Cevapcici because it looked interesting. I love discovering new ethnic foods, so I had to try this Croatian staple. The Cevapcici was a skinless Croatian sausage made of lamb, pork, beef, garlic, parsley and “secret” spices. Served with Ajvar, a Croatian vegetable paste and red onion slices. It was DELICIOUS! Here’s a pic below:

So there you have it. The 710 Grille. It’s definitely worth the trip to San Pedro! Yum!
