Camp NaNoWriMo June 2012! (See http://paulayoo.com/blog for details)!

Join me for Camp NaNoWriMo this June 1-30, 2012!

Hi NAPIBOWRIWEE folks! FYI, I’ll be participating in this year’s CAMP NANOWRIMO! It’s the summer version of NANOWRIMO.

In a nutshell, NANOWRIMO stands for NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH. You are invited to write a 50,000 word minimum novel in one month. This is the organization that inspired MY event, NAPIBOWRIWEE (National Picture Book Writing Week). Their website is here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/

They now are hosting a SUMMER version of this event from June 1-30 at their CAMPNANOWRIMO website. The link is here: http://campnanowrimo.org/sign_in

My “cabin” link is here: http://campnanowrimo.org/campers/violingirl

I decided to use June and Camp NaNoWriMo as a way to kickstart the first draft of a new middle grade novel idea I had recently.

For those of you who participated in MY NAPIBOWRIWEE event, please comment here and let me know if you plan to join CAMPNANOWRIMO. Perhaps we can request to be in the same “cabin” together. (See the website for more details on that.)

For more info my adventures in CAMPNANOWRIMO, I will be blogging about it at my REGULAR blog at this link:

http://paulayoo.com/blog

So please register on that blog to join me on this crazy summer adventure if you plan to participate as well. :) I just posted a blog about it here: http://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=1332

So see you at the REGULAR BLOG (http://paulayoo.com/blog) for the month of June!

And stay tuned and follow me on Twitter @paulayoo for future NaPiBoWriWee updates throughout the year. Until the next blogs, HAPPY WRITING! WRITE LIKE YOU MEAN IT! :)

The Big Day is just around the corner! Day 1 of the third annual National Picture Book Writing Week (aka “NaPiBoWriWee”) begins at midnight on Sunday May 1, 2011! So in anticipation of our grueling – but FUN – event where we will attempt to write 7 picture books in 7 days, below is a list of fantastic writing books that I have either studied or taught in my children’s writing class at UCLA Extension’s Writers Program. I hope this list of books inspires you to write, write, write! :) Keep reading to see the book list and find out more…
