“CONFETTI KIDS” Early Reader Series Preview from Lee & Low Books

Hi! I’m excited to announce that my next book project will launch on February 15, 2016 from LEE & LOW BOOKS. I wrote the first two books of the new “Confetti Kids” early reader book series from Lee & Low’s new “Dive Into Reading” line. The books are illustrated by the wonderfully talented artist SHIRLEY NG-BENITEZ.

In the the first book, “LILY’S NEW HOME,” Lily and her parents move to a new home in New York City. Lily doesn’t like that the city is so big and loud. Will she ever feel at home?

In the second book, “WANT TO PLAY?” Pablo and his friends are having fun at the park. Should they play basketball? Or follow the leader? They have to find the perfect game everyone can play.

KIRKUS REVIEWS recently reviewed both books, saying that this “… debut early reader from Yoo and Ng-Benitez introduces a refreshingly diverse cast of characters in an urban setting. … It’s wonderful to note that the diverse characterization will aid in making many feel all the more included.”
