Paula Yoo is a classically trained violinist who also specializes in rock, Celtic fiddle and country music.
Paula has performed, recorded and toured with many national recording acts, including NO DOUBT, FUN, IL DIVO, SPIRITUALIZED and ARTHUR LEE OF LOVE.
Her TV show and commercial appearances include A&E’s “The Two Coreys,” “Dutch Hollywood Wives,” a United Airlines TV commercial and a Lincoln car-sponsored music video with singer Aloe Blacc. She is also a member of the King Crimson tribute band, THE GREAT DECEIVERS.
She studied violin at Yale University, the Hartt School of Music and the Tanglewood Institute. In addition to performing chamber music recitals, she has also been concertmaster of the Detroit Civic Symphony Orchestra, principal second of the Yale Symphony Orchestra, concertmaster of the Connecticut All-State Orchestra, selected for the National High School Honors Orchestra, and a member of many professional ensembles including the Southeast Symphony, Torrance Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, Seattle Philharmonic, New Haven Symphony and the Scottish Fiddlers of LA. Her favorite musical memory is playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with her youth orchestra in high school.
She has also taught violin in various non-profit organizations and in the Los Angeles public school system. She is represented by Instrumental Casting and Holmes Entertainment.
