Tuna Thursday: The Kitty Editor!

Tuna Thursday: The Kitty Editor!

L-R: Beethoven, Oreo, and Charlotte wait patiently for my next blog!

Welcome to another TUNA THURSDAY blog. In a nutshell, I am a Crazy Cat Lady. I own three wonderful, quirky, loveable cats. There’s Oreo, the oldest cat. He is approximately six years old. He is a stray that I adopted back in 2008. He now has his own Twitter feed (@oreothecatyoo). We then adopted two siblings, Beethoven and Charlotte, who just turned one year old.

I like to dedicate every Thursday to cute cat pictures and stories about my totally awesome cats. For today’s Tuna Thursday, I noticed how Oreo always bothers me when I try to write. It’s like he’s an editor, always meowing his concern at whatever I scribble in my notebook or type on my laptop.

Oreo can't believe what I'm writing!

Behold the evidence below…

(Keep reading after the jump for the photographic evidence of Oreo as my secret book editor!)

Oreo thinks I use too many “ands” in my first draft…

Hmmm.... Oreo reading my latest draft!

No, I do not like what you have written. I am sitting on your manuscript to prevent you from writing any more…

Oreo sits on my latest masterpiece!

“And they lived happily ever after…”

Oreo is absorbed in my latest draft on my laptop...

Really? “They lived happily ever after?” I’m a cat and I could write better than you!

Really? You call this writing? A CAT could write better than you!

That’s it. I’m taking over and unplugging your laptop. You need to STOP writing and play with me!

Oreo has a bad reaction to my writing...

######

So obviously I’m grateful to have my own personal editor at home in the writing batcave. I pay Oreo’s salary in cans of tuna… 🙂 If you are a Crazy Cat Lady (or Crazy Cat Dude) like me, do your cats bug you whenever you are trying to write or work on the computer? How do you handle it? I look forward to your comments.

Until the next blog, Happy Writing! WRITE LIKE YOU MEAN IT!

Ha, in the first photo, “patiently”, that’s a laugh. It’s all a ploy to make everyone think they are well-behaved.

Love Oreo’s expression in the second photo.

LOL! Awww thanks. Yes, Oreo has the funniest expressions, he’s like a grumpy old man trapped in a cat’s body. LOL!

  2. I was following the adventures of Paula and Oreo awhile back on Twitter…and just returned to the medium recently, enjoying catching up on my time away. Oreo clearly is trying to make a name for himself as a writer/editor…and also appears to have picked up a taste for photo ops as well as tuna. Enjoy! Bruce

LOL! Hi Bruce! Yes, Oreo’s head has gotten big from all the Twitter fame. 🙂

  3. Lynett says:

Oreo totally looks like ‘what the hell were you thinking when you wrote that?’ Hilarious post, thanks! Best wished for Beethoven, too.

    • paulayoo says:

Aww thanks! Yes, Oreo is so expressive. Will keep everyone posted on Beet’s leg!

You’re lucky you live so far from me or I’d sneak in and steal Oreo! 😉

Ok, I wouldn’t steal him, but I’d tempt him with a better offer in payment!

    • paulayoo says:

LOL! All you have to do is wave a can of tuna in his face and he’s yours! Such a kitty traitor to tuna! 🙂
