TYPEWRITTEN TUESDAY: November 2011 Updates

Welcome to TYPEWRITTEN TUESDAY! 🙂 Today’s blog is a “housekeeping” blog where I want to update everyone on my schedule for the rest of this month. (I’ll be on a blog “vacation” from Nov. 16-28. Until I return, you can follow me on twitter @paulayoo.)

This month, we have featured Q&As from TV exec/sci fi/comic book writer & former special effects makeup artist PAUL J. SALAMOFF and YA debut novelist SHEELA CHARI. You can find their blog interviews here: Paul J. Salamoff (https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=1063https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=1073) and Sheela Chari (https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=1086). Please comment on these blogs or email me at paula at paulayoo dot com to join our signed book contest drawings with Paul and Sheela. Winners of the signed books ON THE SET and THE SILENT PLANET by Paul J. Salamoff will be announced on Tuesday November 29, 2011. Winner of the signed “VANISHED” (Hyperion ’11) by Sheela Chari will be announced on Wednesday November 30, 2011.

I am also participating this month in the annual National Novel Writing Month event at http://nanowrimo.org You can request to be my buddy – my NaNoWriMo name is “violingirl.” It’s a fun event that inspired my own event, “National Picture Book Writing Week” (aka “NaPiBoWriWee”). To find out more about NaPiBoWriWee, check out my blogs here: https://paulayoo.com/napi The next NaPiBoWriWee will take place May 1-7, 2012!

BLOG VACATION:

Because of my travel, the Thanksgiving holiday, and NaNoWriMo, I will also be on a “blog vacation” from November 15 to 28. But I will return on November 29 and 30 to announce the winners of our signed book contest drawings with Paul J. Salamoff and Sheela Chari. So until then, have a happy Thanksgiving holiday. As always, please remember… Happy Writing! WRITE LIKE YOU MEAN IT! 🙂

Good luck with NaNoWriMo. I’ve actually written my first scene in a novel, but the problem is I have no idea where it needs/wants to go yet. 🙂 So Nano is out for me this year. Maybe next? 😀

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and blog vacation!

Enjoy your blogging time off! I started doing NaNo, but then through a series of unforeseen twists and turns with the idea, as well as other writing obligations, the NaNo attempt has totally fallen apart. But next year, I’ll try again and I’ll be sure to buddy you!

Looking forward to your return, and will catch you and your sweet kitty, Oreo, on Twitter in the meantime!
