FOODIE FRIDAY: Winners announced for Robin Mather’s “The Feast Nearby” signed books!

The Feast Nearby by Robin Mather

Welcome to FOODIE FRIDAY! For the entire month of September, we’ve been celebrating the latest book launch of journalist/author/cook ROBIN MATHER‘s “THE FEAST NEARBY.” The blogs for this month included a two-part Q&A with Robin (links here:ย https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=899 andย https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=912) and we also featured a special recipe from Robin (link here:ย https://paulayoo.com/blog/?p=946).

Folks interested in participating in our signed book giveaway contest had to either post a comment on these blogs or email to request that their names be included for the drawing.

Well, after a month of nail-biting suspense, I now present to you… not one, not two, not three… but FIVE winners! Woo hoo! Robin has generously offered five signed copies of her latest book, “THE FEAST NEARBY” (TenSpeed 2011) to five lucky winners! Wow, Robin, thank you for your generosity.

(Keep reading after the jump to find out if you won!)

To conduct the book giveaway contest drawing in the fairest and most objective way possible, I asked my cat Oreo to be the official judge…

After shaking the hat filled with names several times, Oreo (and well, of course I had to help) carefully pawed the hat and drew five names AT RANDOM.

So congratulations to…

EMILY

AERYN

TERESA S.

ANNA

MICHAEL (“M.L”)

Winners of the Robin Mather "Feast Nearby" contest!

I will email the winners soon to gather address info so they can receive a signed copy of Robin Mather’s “THE FEAST NEARBY.”

Thank you also to Robin for participating this month and for your incredible generosity. For more info on Robin, check out her website here:ย http://thefeastnearby.com/

Congratulations to our winners!

I am so delighted to have won!! I can’ hardly believe it! I loved this book so much and had planned on buying my own copy but am so happy that I will have a ‘signed’ copy! I can’ t wait to re-read the book! I love the blog and have enjoyed the interviews immensely!

I have 2 favorite books… Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and Robin’s book The Feast Nearby. Both of these books and authors remind me of one of my favorite quotes of all time:

“What I like best is a book that’s at least funny once in a while…What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it,you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it.That doesn’t happen much, though.”

I can think of nothing I’d enjoy more than to give Robin a call and sit with her over a cup of tea and chat! I will treausure my copy! Many thanks-Teresa
